Raaga Taala Retreat 2025

The Raaga Taala Retreat will run from 16th to 23rd February , 2025 at Bijolai Palace, Jodhpur, in Rajasthan, India. The seven days Retreat is focused on Music/Dance and Yoga, we have Kathak and Bollywood Dance, Sitar and instrumental music, Tabla and Vocal faculty available. Participants can choose any of these faculties to learn, every morning there will be Yoga and meditation classes to start your day in a perfect way.

Every evening there will be concerts by different artists from India and abroad and a lot of sightseeing. We will also have Desert Safari and Village safari.

The cost for seven days of Raaga Taala Retreat is 1100 Euros/945 Pounds/1200 USD for a double sharing room and 1450 Euros/1250 Pound/1560 USD for a single occupancy room. The package includes your stay at the majestic Bijolai Palace, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), yoga/meditation classes, all the music/dance classes/workshops, sightseeing, entries to monuments, Camel Safari, Jeep Safari, local transportation, airport pick up and drop.

DAY 01: 23-Feb-2025 COCHIN
CHECK OUT AND DEPARTURE AT 7:00 AM

Today after checkout from Bijolai Palace (After Raaga Taala Retreat ), get transferred to jodhpur airport to board your flight to Kochi. You are greeted on arrival at the Kochi Airport/ by The Travel Planners representative and transferred to the hotel. Kochi has been under Portuguese, Dutch and British rule at various times throughout history. Evening free for relaxing and leisure at the accommodation. Overnight stay in Kochi.

DAY 02: 24-Feb-2025 COCHIN
The morning after Breakfast sightseeing in Cochin. Here you can see the St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, 500 year old Portuguese Houses, Chinese fishing nets, 16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace, built by Portuguese, this Palace contains some of India’s most beautiful murals. Evening go shopping. Overnight at Cochin
DAY 03: 25-Feb-2025 COCHIN – MUNNAR
After breakfast depart for Munnar (130 kms / 4 hrs) enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls (Cheeyappara), high mountains with low flying clouds passing by. We will do sightseeing in Munnar and witness tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, the very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. Overnight at Munnar

DAY 04: 26-Feb-2025 MUNNAR
This morning, take a guided walk around the lush hills of Munnar, often shrouded in ethereal clouds. Be sure to have your camera ready as the beautiful landscape unfolds in front of you. Learn how Munnar’s cool temperatures made the region a favourite summer retreat during the British Colonial era. In the afternoon rest at the hotel or you are free for your own activities. In the evening, proceed for a nature walk. Night stay in Munnar

DAY 05: 27-Feb-2025 MUNNAR – THEKKADY
Morning after breakfast proceed to Thekkady (160 Kms/4.5 Hrs drive), an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 wildlife reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel. Afternoon we will go for a boat cruise in the Lake to watch wild animals. We will explore the activities like Elephant ride ,Spice Plantation tour, Kathakali dance performance seeing ,Martial arts performance seeing ,Jeep Safari etc ..Stay overnight at Thekkady

DAY 06: 28-Feb-2025- THEKKADY
Today morning you can go for Half day Bamboo Rafting with Trekking (optional). Evening you can also explore the activities like Elephant ride, Spice Plantation tour, Kathakali dance performance seeing, Martial arts performance seeing, Jeep Safari etc .. Stay overnight at Thekkady

DAY 07: 01-Mar-2025- THEKKADY-ALLEPPEY HouseBoat(140 Kms/4 Hrs drive)
Today morning after breakfast proceed to Alleppey, popularly called the Venice of the East, to see the winding canals and an amazing network of backwaters. On arrival, you will be checking in to a traditional Kerala houseboat which will take you on a fabulous tour of the backwaters. Overnight stay will be in the Houseboat.

DAY 09: 03-Mar-2025 KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM
Today morning, after breakfast we will proceed to Trivandrum City, which includes the Padmanabhaswamy temple, Horse Palace, Napier Museum, Zoo and the Srichitra Art Gallery. Later back to the hotel for Lunch. Evening free to enjoy the beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam

NB – Horse Palace, Napier Museum, Zoo and the Srichitra Art Gallery are closed on Mondays.

DAY 10: 04-Mar-2025 KUMARAKOM (160 Kms/4 Hrs drive)
Today morning, after breakfast, we will proceed to Kumarakom. A Kerala family tour package is incomplete without a trip to this village settlement on the Vembanad lake. Meandering waterways, canopies of coconut trees, and many other sights make this a memorable destination for most visitors. Upon arrival, you will be checking in to Kumarakom Resort. The afternoon will be for unwinding at this beautiful backwater resort. The overnight stay will be at the same resort.

DAY 11: 05-Mar-2025 -Departure (80 Kms/2.5 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast checkout and drive to Cochin , en route visiting Marari Beach and afternoon shopping in Cochin optional if the time permits and drop to the Airport/station for the departure for the onward journey.
